By using jaanix you agree that anything you submit can be used as described here:
Information Jaanix collects:
Your name or pseudonym, a name for your jaanix.com sub-domain, a valid email address, and anything you voluntarily post in the public forum that is jaanix (e.g. posts to your sub-domain are automatically added to the individualized jaanix home page of other users based on their preferences / settings at http://jaanix.com). Your email address is not disclosed to other users.
Additionally, the jaanix reccomender algorithm stores information about users clicks, preferences (votes – jaa – nix) and statistics about visits, logins, last login, last post / comment. We may introduce features related to usage statistics to give you a view on things like:
Popularity of a given post
Most / least popular posts
Most / least popular user…
We give you full control over your information, including the ability to completely delete it from our system. You can delete any individual post or comment as long as you are logged in to the system. You can delete your entire account (including your email address from the account settings page under the “tools” section.) If you do not register in the system the information will be automatically deleted after 2 weeks of inactivity.
The only personal information that will be disclosed to third parties will be posted by you in a public jaanix post or comment to another user’s post. Otherwise, we will never disclose your email address or other personal information without your permission.
We will never sell or otherwise disclose your personal information with any third party without your permission, unless we are required to do so by law.
No SPAM. We will never send you spam
Email addresses are collected for account verification and password resets. Occasionally we may sent users notifications or reminders about inappropriate behavior (e.g. spamming comments or abusive posts / comments). That’s it !
We will make all reasonable attempts to protect your information from other users. Access to your personal information by jaanix staff happens only when you specifically request us to reset your password, it is required by law, or for system maintenance (e.g. database upgrades / migration).
We reserve the right however to figure out how to earn some $$ and keep the servers running. In the case that aggregate user behavior data shows trends that have value, we may disclose information about users in anonymous, aggregated formats only. We will not disclose information that can identify any individual user.
Passwords are stored on our server in encrypted form. Our administrators cannot "see" what they are. If you lose your password, we will generate a new one and send it to you.
Jaanix uses cookies to record how our service is being used.
